The LEICA MOTOR-DRIVE R8 is a high-performance film advancing accessory for the LEICA R8, especially designed to be a perfect complement to that camera. It harmonizes beautifully with the unique style of the LEICA R8, which has already received numerous prestigious awards. Its integrated wrist strap and its two shutter release buttons for vertical and horizontal photo-graphs add incomparable convenience to the camera-and-Motor-Drive combination in any situation. The MOTOR-DRIVE R8 provides immediate readiness at all times, it simplifies work during extended shooting sessions, it permits fast picture sequences on demand, and it even opens many other interesting photo-graphic possibilities. |
| Flash Unit LEICA SF20 |
The compact and lightweight LEICA SF20 allows TTL-flash exposure control with the LEICA R8 as well as the new LEICA M6 TTL-models plus automatic flash exposure control with all other LEICA M and R cameras with central X hot-shoe contact. All necessary information such as film speed, aperture and distance is available in the LCD which can be illuminated on demand. Thanks to the two long-life Lithium batteries CR 123 a very compact design, fast recharging times, and a high number of flashes could be realised. In the TTL- and A-modes the flash indicator in the viewfinders of the LEICA R8 and the LEICA M6 TTL-models enables the photographer to check the correct flash exposure immediately. Leica photographers‘ creative ambitions are satisfied by the option to utilize the flash exposure compensation feature. In the TTL- and A-modes corrections of +/- 3 EV and 0 to -3 EV respectively are possible. |

| POWER-PACK MW-R8
|
The POWER-PACK MW-R8 is an extra power source for the MOTOR-WINDER
R8. It proves to be an economic power supply when the winder is used intensively.
On top of that it guarantees maximum frame frequency even at extremely
low temperatures. It is equipped with permanently built-in rechargeable
batteries and is very quickly and easily mounted and removed. Like the
winder, it is extremely compact and fits in seamlessly with the camera's
elegant design. The fast charger enables a POWER-PACK MW-R8 to be recharged to full capacity within 2 hours at the most, whatever the starting level. The risk of "over-"charging is completely eliminated by the automatic switching to pulse compensation charge, so a power pack may be left connected for longer periods of time. The power pack can also be deliberately discharged to avoid the "memory effect" of its rechargeable batteries. |

The electronic control unit for the LEICA R8 - LEICA REMOTE-CONTROL-R8 - enables programmed exposure series as well as remote control of the camera when used with the LEICA MOTOR-WINDER-R8 and the LEICA MOTOR-DRIVE-R8. It allows the intervals between the individual exposures as well as the number of exposures themselves to be determined freely within a wide range. |
| Electric Cable Release Extension Cables |
The Electric Cable Release ensures absolutely shake-free operation thanks to its 5 m length, and e.g. in the case of shy or dangerous animals it allows photographing from a hidden position. Additional 25 m extension cables can be utilized to span distances of up to 100 m. |
