Image quality is superb due to the combination of unique Carl Zeiss designed and developed special low dispersion glass. An amazing degree of aberration correction ensures superb portrayal even at maximum aperture.
Modern fluoro-phosphate glass give this fast lens excellent imaging characteristics. The optimal correction of chromatic aberrations results in pictures of enormous brilliance. Even with the aperture fully open, a clarity of focus is achieved which is excellent even in the close-up range. Over and beyond this, the Tele-Apotessar® T* 2,8/300 lens is absolutely free of color fringes. Internal focusing (IF) and the rotatable tripod collar are further features for easier handling. This lens shows its strong points to best advantage with photographs taken from a long distance. It works well together with teleconverters an is optimally suited for photographing wildlife, landscapes, industrial, scientific, photojournalistic and other typical telephoto subjects.
